Have you ever been working in one of your applications, say a spreadsheet,
and said something like,
"I should be able to calculate the frammistat sales and graph them in
combination with the doflicky orders, but I can't figure out how to set
up the calculation for the pie chart."
Of
course
you have. Chances are you were right too, your application can do just
what you want it to.
You just need a little more information.
Unfortunately, the help files aren't any help, and the
For Dummies
book you bought was actually for dummies; stuffed, lifeless, mannequins who
have no concept of business.
We can help you to get the most out of your applications. Soon you can be
producing customized sales letters, spreadsheets and accompanying graphs
and charts that will make a statistician green with envy. Create templates
for frequently used forms that you have no choice but to fill in by hand
now. Learn to attach files to your e-mails and embed spreadsheets in your
documents with a few keystrokes.
Just a few tips:
-
In Microsoft Office applications you can save a previously saved
document by pressing Ctrl+S or open "Save As" dialog by pressing
the F12 key. This will help you reuse document layouts that you
have already created. A real timesaver!
-
In Windows 9x and newer, holding down the "Window" or "Logo Key"
(between Ctrl and Alt) and pressing the letter "E" opens Windows
Explorer allowing you to directly browse your files.
-
To open up a Search dialog box in Windows Explorer, just press the F3
key.
-
To refresh the Windows Desktop, Internet Explorer web page or Windows
Explorer view press the F5 key.
-
You can spell check a word or document in Microsoft Office products by
pressing the F7 key or get alternatives from the Thesaurus by pressing
Shift+F7.
These may sound like trivial tips, but you'll be surprised how much faster
things go when you don't reach over and grab the mouse to perform these
actions. We have the experience and expertise to help you maximize your
staff's productivity by helping them to better utilize the applications
that you've provided.
